This year six schools competed in the primary schools’ Indoor Athletics Challenge. Coaches from Personal Best Education set up seven field events which included the foam javelin and speed bounce stations. The Young Sports Leaders watched and recorded the results for each school encouraging all the competitors to do the best that they could on each of the athletic disciplines.

Indoor Sports Hall Athletics 2014The Sports Leaders were involved in basic coaching for the events and worked hard to make sure the primary pupils understood what the discipline on each part of the circuit involved. The relay sprint races seemed to be very popular with the ‘crowds’ and the competitors.

Pupils were keen to perform well for their school and prepared in a ‘ready’ position for their race.

The final results were very close but with several wins during the running events Wallop were the overall winners. Well done to all the competitors and Young Sports Leaders for making this another successful event!
