Former pupil, Jacob Ness, competed in the SIAB Schools International Championships for England, winning both his 400m race as well as the 4x400m relay in which he participated. Well done Jacob!
I competed in the 400m, wearing the England Kit in Lane 1. I had a good start and a good first 300m but started to struggle on the last 100m, however I managed to keep my place and win in a time of 48.81 seconds.
I also competed in the England 4x400m relay with 3 excellent runners. I ran the last leg to bring the baton home. My team did a fantastic job and I could not have asked for anything more from them. The last leg was very close, I ran in front the whole way but conserved energy for the last 100m, and managed to pull away and bring glory home for England.
