On the evening of 26th June three coaches left Test Valley heading for London’s West End. After a short stop in Covent Garden to get tea and experience the multitude of cultural shows that were on offer, the group split up with fifty Key Stage 3 pupils heading to see ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, and one hundred Year 9 and Key Stage 4 pupils going to see ‘The Woman in Black.’ Both performances were outstanding, and pupils (and staff) laughed, cried and, in the case of ‘The Woman in Black’, screamed their way through the shows.
As always pupils’ conduct during the trip was exemplary and we arrived safely back at school shortly after midnight. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank parents for being so considerate with their parking on the evening, leaving room in the bus bays for the coaches to pull up safely. We look forward to the next theatre trip which will hopefully take place during the Autumn Term.
