KS2 Basketball

Despite the ‘snowy’ conditions two local Primary Schools managed to attend the coaching and assessment session for basketball organised by the Year 10 Sports Leaders.

Wherwell and King’s Somborne Primary Schools were able to attend this event and developed their basic basketball skills of shooting, dribbling and passing.

The Sports Leaders were on hand to coach and inspire the teams and it was the skills level that was to be assessed not the outcome of the practice games.

The Leaders held team talks and discussions during the skills assessments and game activities to evaluate the pupils’ learning and understanding.

All the pupils who attended received a ‘Participation’ Award which was to be presented in their own school assemblies.
