Over the past couple of months Year 8 pupils have been working on a large project, to design, develop and construct bird feeders. They had to be made out of plywood, with wire mesh to hold the nuts or other type of solid bird feed. Pupils worked hard from the initial design to constructing the final product. Throughout the process many different skills and techniques were required, including the use of a CAM machine (Computer Aided Manufacture).
Mr Langdown Commented “The quality of the work produced was second to none with a particular stand out piece of work from Bradley Hall. Not only did Bradley produce a brilliant bird feeder, but he wrote a fantastic article which takes us on the journey of its development”. If you would like to read the full article, this will be published in our Spring Term Newsletter shortly.
