Six of our talented musicians went to Clatford Primary School for the afternoon on Wednesday 24th May to perform as part of the school’s annual Music Afternoon. Each pupil spoke briefly about their instrument and performed a short solo piece to help inspire primary pupils to take up a musical instrument and encourage those who already play by demonstrating what can be achieved with continued practice and dedication.
Rebecca Ledwidge led the way for Test Valley playing her flute. Later, Felix Hammer woke everyone up with his cornet playing, swiftly followed by Laurie Mossman-Smith rocking everyone with his electric guitar. The penultimate performance came from Josh Toze on saxaphone playing a number he had composed himself. Last but not least, Sophie Yates displayed an amazing voice, singing a very popular song. The event culminated in Clatford School’s very own popular percussion teacher playing an amazing set on the drums which raised the roof.
