On Monday 22nd May, four of our talented linguists taught their first French lesson to Year 4 and Year 5 pupils at Stockbridge Primary School. This is the second time that Test Valley School has had the opportunity to take a group of Year 9 pupils to their local primary school to share their enthusiasm and knowledge of a foreign language with budding French speakers.
Abbey Barton, Isabel Henrys, Sam Hunt and Sam Thompson planned their interactive lesson on zoo animals from start to finish and proved to be very competent teachers. Their plenary survey revealed that all the primary school pupils enjoyed the varied activities they had organised from a word-search to kinaesthetic games. The MFL Department looks forward to visiting Stockbridge Primary School next year to carry on this successful event with our current Year 8.
