Welcome Back

Last week the school re-opened to pupils after the summer holidays and the new school year got underway.

We would also like to welcome all our new Year 7 pupils and new pupils joining our other year groups. This is an exciting and daunting time for them as they face the challenges of a new school, new teachers and new friends. We hope that their first week was enjoyable and they are excited about their future achievements at Test Valley School.

We also welcome our new staff (teaching and support) joining us and hope they also settle in quickly to our school community.

During the holidays much was done to ensure we were ready for the new term. A number of classrooms and the main corridor had a makeover with working parties coming in voluntarily to redecorate. We are very grateful for all the time and hard work of the parents, staff, governors who came along to help. We would also like to extend special thanks to Lloyds Banking Group based in Andover where a large number of their staff donated their time to join our working parties as part of their ‘day to make a difference’ initiative in the local community.

Our goats also have a lovely new enclosure due to a generous donation towards their fencing which will shortly be extended to include the pond area. We are sad, however, to report that over the holidays one of our goats, Bungle, passed away due to natural causes before he could enjoy this.
