The snow meant that the World Book Day activities originally planned for Thursday 1st March had to be re-arranged to Thursday 8th March. On Tuesday 27th February Year 7 pupils took part in the Race For The Line Competition race day. This involves a team from RAF Odiham visiting the school to facilitate the launch and timing of rocket cars designed and built by Year 7 teams back in December. Last week school was closed for two days due to the snowfall we experienced. Test Valley School had a white blanket of snow covering it for a few days.
On Tuesday the Year 7 football team played Testbourne in the Andover and District Schools League. The boys braved the ‘Beast from the East’ to play their fixture. A team of Year 10 Sports Leaders helped to organised and run the annual indoor girls’ football event. The Leaders were refereeing, scoring and encouraging all the Primary Schools that attended. It was a very close competition with Broughton School becoming the winners for 2018 with Wallop as runners up.
The Year 10 Sports Leaders gave a coaching session to six local primary schools as part of their on-going leadership assessment.
