Pupil Saves a Hedgehog!


Pisces, as he was immediately named, the hedgehog was rescued from the school pool by a brave pupil last week. After an opportunity to recover and dry off in the Science department Pisces was released safely back into the wild next to a large pile of leaves and twigs.

Congratulations to Oliver Harper-Adams in Year 11 who has become the 2018 Hampshire Junior Champion in the CPSA Accredited and international FITASC Compact Sporting shooting discipline held in West Sussex in September. This is an excellent achievement and certainly shows ’pursuit of personal excellence’. Well done Oliver!

GCSE Textiles and Designs Soar Above National GCSE Average


Mrs Cross (Subject Leader for Food and Textiles) is delighted to report that 100% of Test Valley School pupils passed their Textiles and Designs GCSE with 85% achieving grades of A* – C, which is well above the national average of 74%.

The ‘Big’ Questions

In Religious Studies Year 8 have been studying the ‘big’ questions in life. They started off by sharing their ideas as a class on seven big questions.
