Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π. Pi Day is observed on March 14th and to celebrate the Maths department hosted various activities throughout the day for both staff and pupils to participate in. This included quizzes, a lunch time computer competition and a staff Pi cake competition. The cake competition was judged by Headteacher Miss Hiscock, who has a tough job as the standard of the cakes was particularly high this year and the winner was Mr Mackriell (who actually had a friend make it, so should have been disqualified!).
