Environmental Science Club has been very popular this term and the goats, chickens, guinea pigs and rabbit have been very well looked after by our group of eager volunteers. Being a school located in rural Hampshire means that many of our pupils arrive in Year 7 having already accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in animal husbandry that they can pass on to their peers. Ruby Allison in Year 7 is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to looking after chickens because she keeps a flock of her own chickens and ducks at home. She recently sent some photos of herself with her chickens to the readers’ photos pages of ‘Your Chickens’ magazine and her photos were picked to be published! Well done Ruby.
