Wyrd Sisters Rehearsals

Wyrd SistersOver the last few weeks many of our staff and pupils have been giving up their own time to rehearse for this year’s performance of Terry Pratchett’s “The Wyrd Sisters”. Clare Stubbs (Subject Leader, Drama) commented:

“Each year I am impressed with the dedication and professionalism of many of our pupils, and this year has certainly lived up to expectation. It is lovely to see the enthusiasm and commitment they have to making the production a success”.

Make sure you do not miss their performances on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th February at 7pm. Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. They can be purchased outside Pupil Services at lunchtimes.

Year 7 Food Technology

Recently, our Year 7 pupils have been making basic scones in their Food Technology lesson, but this week we wanted to try something new and ignite their culinary imaginations. They were given the opportunity to make a different flavour or shaped scone — either sweet or savoury, using an additional two or three ingredients. Mrs Cross (Subject Leader, Food) commented that

“There were some interesting combinations and the pupils had lots of fun experimenting with their own ideas. It was a very successful lesson”.
