Salary: £26,544 – £29,583, HCC grade E

Start Date May 2021

37 hours per week

Test Valley School is a small, rural, high achieving 11-16 secondary school on the outskirts of Stockbridge (one of the “best places to live” in The Sunday Times in 2018).  Our rural location adds a unique dimension to school life and our links across the community. It is also an easy commute from Winchester, Salisbury, Andover, Romsey and Southampton.

Our motto is ‘in pursuit of personal excellence’ and we have very high expectations of our pupils and ourselves in all aspects of school life. We offer a friendly, caring and supportive working environment.

We are seeking an appropriately qualified and experienced IT Network Manager to be the School’s leading authority on all IT matters: managing the technical planning, operational delivery and on-going development of all aspects of the school’s IT systems and major IT projects. In this critical role, the IT Network Manager will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to develop the School to become a leading ‘STEM’ Provision (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), and will lead the day-to-day management and delivery of IT Services: supporting management, teaching and support staff and pupils with their use of IT. The IT Network Manager will keep the school at the forefront of IT developments through establishing links with local and national technology partners, and in the creation and management of the School’s on-going IT strategy (ensuring its alignment with the School’s current and future needs). This is a hands-on management role and as such the role holder will need to be comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level.
