College Taster Day

On Tuesday 4th July, Year 10 pupils attended a college taster day at Sparsholt and Andover College.

The pupils had an excellent day with many commenting that it had opened their eyes to what is offered at college and has started them thinking seriously now about their futures

At Andover, they had a wide range of courses to choose from and pupils definitely enjoyed having a taster of courses such as Law and Criminology, Psychology, Philosophy and Ethics, Health and Social Care and the Football Academy. It certainly got them talking on the way back to school.

At Sparsholt, pupils took part in practical courses such as Game and Wildlife Management, Agriculture and Equine.

As we go into Year 11 it will be interesting to see where our pupils decide that their futures lie.

Year 6 New Intake Day

HallEarlier this week, Test Valley School were very pleased to welcome over 120 Year 6 pupils who will be starting at Test Valley in September.

There was lots of excitement and happy faces as each pupil found out what their tutor groups would be and which friends will be in their class. It gave the pupils a good opportunity to experience a typical school day and meet other pupils. The day was a success with many positive comments from the pupils as they departed at the end of the day.

Test Valley Goes Cashless

As of September, Test Valley’s canteen will no longer be accepting cash payments. Instead, pupils will be paying using a biometric identification system.

As a result this week has been very busy for both staff and pupils in organising biometric accounts. A massive thanks to our support staff who have spent many hours organising this and making sure the day went smoothly. We look forward to this starting in September.
