Year 3 and 4 pupils from Stockbridge Primary School participated in a range of fitness exercises here at Test Valley School to assist our Year 10 Sports Leaders with their Level 1 Health and Fitness Assessment, The Sports Leaders have been working on circuit training and had set up 10 activity stations for the primary school pupils to tackle. The activities included sit ups, balance wobbles, hurdles and some basic basketball specific skills. The young pupils worked all the muscle groups and learned some new skills during the session. Well done to all the Leaders as they all passed this assessment for the course!

Our congratulations go to Daisy Mansfield who recently took part in the British National Dressage Championship. Daisy achieved 9th place out of a huge class of 32.
This is a massive achievement for someone of her age to be placed in the top ten at a National Championship and we wish her every success for the year ahead!
Earlier this month, over 75 Year 1 and 2 pupils from 5 local Primary Schools attended a festival of fun and activity.
The morning session consisted of 7 activity stations ranging from multi skill fun to trampolining and gymnastics air track and inflatables. The KS1 pupils worked with our Year 7 Sports Leaders and completed all 7 activities with lots of enthusiasm and fun on each station.
Personal Best Education coaches supplied the equipment and challenged the Sports Leaders to introduce new ways to educate the younger pupils on each of the stations. All participants were awarded a certificate and a medal for their achievements.
Mrs Vaughan conducts a practical revision session on the heart and how the passage of blood flows through it, with our Year 11 GCSE PE group. The pupils benefited greatly from having a multisensory way of understanding how the heart functions – a great visual way of remembering such a complex system.
