We are looking to recruit reliable and trustworthy exams invigilators to support the Examinations Officer. You will need to work flexibly according to the examinations' timetable throughout the academic year. As an invigilator, you will be required to support the examination processes. You must follow the required guidelines and regulations for the integrity and security of examinations and procedures during invigilation. The role requires you to provide a professional examination service ensuring a calm environment to give candidates the best possible opportunity to be successful in their exams.

The successful applicant will need to fulfil the safeguarding requirements of the role and adhere to the school’s safeguarding policy. Full training will be provided.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, and committed Attendance Officer to work with the Pastoral and Intervention Teams in promoting and sustaining high levels of student attendance and punctuality. The role includes:

  • To establish and maintain good relationships with all students, families, colleagues and other professionals.
  • To maintain accurate student attendance and punctuality records using Arbor on a daily basis and to provide regular attendance and punctuality reports to Middle and Senior Leaders.
  • Provide daily student registers for appropriate activities e.g. fire registers and school assemblies.
  • Follow up student absences and lateness by telephone or other appropriate means, on a daily basis with guidance from relevant colleagues, making appropriate referrals to external agencies.
  • To monitor lesson attendance, acting upon any missing marks/students and notifying Pastoral Team of concerns.
  • To carry out regular (lesson by lesson) register checks to ensure lesson registers are taken promptly and take appropriate action when they are not.
  • To generate correspondence home for all late to school and other unauthorised absences, highlighting areas of concern through stringent record keeping.
  • Identifying individuals, key groups of students and families that require additional support and working with those key groups to help improve attendance and punctuality.
  • To undertake home visits for students/families where necessary with Student Services /Intervention / Safeguarding colleagues as appropriate.
  • To generate and disseminate all relevant attendance paperwork and update our records as necessary.

Art Teacher

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and passionate Art Teacher to join our newly formed Creative Arts Faculty. The successful candidate will work within a small but highly committed team, consisting of teachers from Drama, Music and Art. Our curriculum is engaging and creative, pupils will learn in traditional lessons. Excitingly, from September, KS3 pupils will also have the opportunity to opt into a range of Creative Art projects on a Wednesday afternoon. KS4 will have the opportunity to opt into 3 Creative Arts project days throughout the year. This post provides an exciting career opportunity for an ambitious and inspirational candidate who would like to further develop their career as part of our dynamic and highly effective team. Candidates will be committed to the learning and development of our pupils, teaching throughout the age and ability range, following appropriate schemes of work.  Seeks to encourage and “inspire pupils” motivation and enthusiasm in the subject, developing positive responses to challenge and setting high expectations. Securing high standards of teaching and pupil progress in line with the Teachers’ Standards.
